Mosaic Celebrates Renewed Partnership with the BC Bike Race for Access to Mountain Bike Trails on Vancouver Island

Mosaic Forest Management (Mosaic) is pleased to celebrate its renewed partnership with the BC Bike Race, a multi-day mountain bike stage race from July 1 to July 7 on beautiful Vancouver Island. The sponsorship and access agreement gives the BC Bike Race access to Mosaic’s forest lands, which supports recreation and tourism throughout many communities on Vancouver Island.

The BC Bike Race is seven days of intense mountain bike racing on some of the world’s best single-track trails in Victoria, Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Cumberland, and Campbell River. Participants come from around the world, injecting tourism dollars into Vancouver Island’s economy. The return of the BC Bike Race to Vancouver Island is also thanks to mountain bike club volunteers, who help create and maintain mountain bike trails that garner international attention.

"In keeping with our vision to offer recreational opportunities to neighbouring communities, Mosaic Forest Management is again pleased to support the tremendous work of the BC Bike Race," said Rob Gough, President and CEO of Mosaic Forest Management. “We are proud to partner with organizations that share our values on public safety, protecting the environment and supporting local communities as the BC Bike Race does.”

2024 marks the 18th annual BC Bike Race. As part of this year’s sponsorship, Mosaic will give away two BC Bike Race solo race entries (valued at $2,300 each) to eligible riders ages 19 to 30. In recognition of the communities it operates in, Mosaic’s giveaway is further focused on residents of Vancouver Island or the neighbouring Gulf Islands. “Mosaic Forest Management’s BC Bike Race giveaway is a fantastic way to encourage young riders to enjoy this epic race in the mecca of mountain biking on Vancouver Island,” said Dean Payne, BC Bike Race President. “Our continued partnership with Mosaic is an important part of what makes BC Bike Race possible.”

The BC Bike Race will donate $3,000 each to the Tilicum Lelum Friendship Centre and the Cumberland Community Schools Society as part of Mosaic’s sponsorship.
