We have worked actively over many decades to build collaborative, respectful working relationships with many First Nation groups, and continually work to deepen and strengthen these connections. Consistent with this commitment, TimberWest undertook the Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) certification process and in June 2019, we were pleased to expand PAR certification to all lands managed by Mosaic. In 2020, Mosaic was the only forestry company in British Columbia to have achieved Silver-level recognition. In 2023, Mosaic was recognized with Gold-level certification, making it the first and only timberland owner in Canada to achieve this standard of excellence.
The PAR certification crystallizes our commitment to pursuing highly constructive partnerships with First Nation communities. The PAR framework is consistent with our objective to achieve meaningful, enduring collaboration that facilitates First Nation cultural, environmental and economic participation in Mosaic Forest Management activities.
